New To FFUMC?

We wish to welcome you to Fayette First UMC. Our church loves to share the life and love of Jesus Christ with all who join us here. As a United Methodist Church, participation in our congregation comes from prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. We are genuinely interested and willing to help you with your spiritual needs in your quest to follow Christ. We're glad you're here to find out for yourself just how exciting serving God can be!

Every Sunday Common Ground, our Contemporary Service, starts at 9am in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcomed and to come worship with us and partake in the refreshments and entertainment provided by our praise band. The Traditional Service begins at 11am in the Sanctuary. Please join us.

Our Church stays engaged in our community. Visit us on Facebook to find out what is happening and how you can also become involved and serve our local community.

"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." (Romans 15:7)

God always ends on a positive.

Nursery Services & Children's Church

We offer Nursery services and Children's Church during the early service in the Pre-K classroom. Children's Church is designed for children in Pre-K through the 2nd grade. We encourage children in the 3rd grade or older to remain in the worship service but they may go to Children's Church if the parent prefers.

Children's Church and Nursery Worker volunteers as well as our acolytes for the Traditional Service are co-ordinated by Michelle Tucker.

"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." (Proverbs 16:3)

Celebrate Recovery
Remember Celebrate Recovery is not just about addiction, it is for ALL people with HURTS, HABITS or HANGUPS. It is a Non-Denominational, Christ-centered and Bible-based 12 Step Recovery Program. Through Christ-centered steps and by applying the biblical principles found in the Beatitudes, we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving higher power – Jesus Christ. Celebrate Recovery meets on Thursday nights starting at 6:30 PM.

Thank you to all the volunteers that signed up to prepare meals for Celebrate Recovery. If you have any questions, please contact Gail Keyes (phone: (205) 442-3216, email: gailbobk@gmail.com) or visit the CR Facebook page.

Common Ground Hospitality
Feeding the Flock: Our goal is to provide a meal to a church member or attendee of our church. We want to do this when they experience surgery, illness, birth of a baby, or whatever other distracting life event may arise. A team of two will prepare and take the meal to their home.

We also provide door greeters and assorted refreshments for the Common Ground Service every Sunday morning. Volunteers are welcome to help with this ministry! If you would like to be a part of our hospitality ministry, please see Rita Howard, Nancy Davis or Joy Griswald.
